Piaget mengeluarkan jam tangan kronograf paling nipis

Known for creating some of the world’s slimmest complications, Piaget has once again worked its miniaturizing magic—this time creating the world’s thinnest chronograph. The Piaget Altiplano Chronograph is equipped with the company’s new 883P caliber, which is an astounding 4.65 mm thick and is housed in a case just 8.24 mm thick.

The watch’s chronograph function is of the flyback variety, meaning that unlike a traditional chronograph—which requires three presses to stop, reset, and then restart the mechanism for timing intervals—it takes a single press of the pusher at 4 o’clock to reset the hands to zero and then automatically begin a new timing cycle.

Not satisfied with fitting just one complication into the Altiplano’s svelte case, Piaget also equipped the watch with a GMT feature, allowing the subdial at 9 o’clock to display the hours in another time zone. The watch’s movement, which has a power reserve of 50 hours, is finished with circular Côtes de Genève and circular graining.

Starting at $28,000, the Piaget Altiplano Chronograph is available with either a rose-gold case or a white-gold case set with 56 brilliant-cut diamonds. The watch will become available for purchase in September. (piaget.com)

Motosikal Kawasaki Ninja H2R paling berkuasa

The Japanese motorcycle manufacturer Kawasaki recently introduced what it calls the most powerful closed-course production motorcycle ever created, the Kawasaki Ninja H2R. The new bike takes its name from the 1971 Kawasaki 750SS Mach IV, more commonly known as the H2, which by many accounts was the fastest motorcycle of its day. Continuing this tradition, the H2R will be equipped with an approximately 300 hp inline 4-cylinder supercharged engine, the most powerful on the market.

Much of the H2R’s impressive power output is thanks to Kawasaki’s new supercharger, which takes advantage of several of the Kawasaki Heavy Industries Group’s subsidiaries and their extensive experience creating gas turbine systems for power plants. The new bike features a trellis and faring that provide improved aerodynamics. Given its staggering performance numbers, the H2R will be a track-only model. However, Kawasaki has indicated that it will produce a street-legal version of the bike. (kawasaki)

Lisa Wildgoose, 42, seorang jurugambar dan pemilik kedai fotografi, membuat dakwaan berkenaan selepas sekeping gambar yang diambilnya memperlihatkan sejenis haiwan yang menyerupai makhluk alam fantasi itu.

Gambar itu diambil Lisa ketika sesi fotografi bersama sebuah keluarga di taman purba, Bluebell Woods, yang menempatkan pelbagai spesis bunga-bungaan.
